The presentation defines the importing and exporting processes including requirements, documentation, compliance issues, payment methods, customs duties, shipping terminology.
The program reviews total landed cost factors and identifies the real cost of importing and exporting. Students will work with the Harmonized Schedule of the United States to identify customs duties and units of measure.
The course explains the International Commercial terms that define responsibilities and costs when moving freight internationally, various payment methods, international documentation, and regulatory compliance in a post-World Trade world.
